Artinfuser Algo uses counterpoint rules when generating and correcting music.
Rules can be enabled, disabled, and their default severity can be changed. Rule severity is not needed for SAS algorithm, for this algorithm all severities from 1 to 100 have the same meaning. For SWA algorithm, computer will try to avoid most severe rules when there is a choice between rules with different severities.
Here you can browse default rules. For generating and correction of cantus firmus mainly Cantus and Melody rule groups are used. For generating and correction of 2-voice counterpoint Melody, Harmony and Rhythm rule groups are used.
Artinfuser Algo rules are very close to Artinfuser Counterpoint rules, which are documented with examples.
