Daniel Dale Johnston is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and artist. Johnston was the subject of the 2005 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. Johnston has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He has been regarded as an important figure in outsider, lo-fi and alternative music scenes.
