Alicia Silverstone is an American actress, producer, author and activist. Silverstone made her film debut in The Crush, earning the 1994 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and gained further prominence in 1993 as a teen idol when she appeared at the age of 16 in the music video Cryin', and two further videos, Amazing and Crazy for the band Aerosmith, at the request of director Marty Callner.
