He is best known for his roles as news cameraman John Cassellis in Haskell Wexler's Medium Cool, Lebanese terrorist Abdul Rafai in the action-thriller The Delta Force and bail bondsman Max Cherry in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, the last of which saw him nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
