Peter Lombard, Peter the Lombard, Pierre Lombard or Petrus Lombardus, was a scholastic theologian, Bishop of Paris, and author of Four Books of Sentences, which became the standard textbook of theology, for which he earned the accolade Magister Sententiarum.
