Paul Richard LePage is an American businessman and Republican Party politician who has served as the 74th Governor of Maine since 2011.
Born in Lewiston, LePage grew up with seventeen siblings in an abusive home. His father, an alcoholic, beat his children and LePage ran away from home at age 11. Living on the streets of Lewiston, LePage was homeless for two years and then worked in various jobs.
