John Phillip "Phil" Gingrey, was the U.S. representative for Georgia's 11th congressional district from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the Republican Party. The district is located in the northwestern suburbs of Atlanta.
On March 27, 2013, Gingrey announced he would be a candidate in the 2014 race for U.S. Senate for his state, but he lost in the May 20, 2014 Republican primary, placing fourth.
