Nathan Outteridge is an Australian sailor, a resident of Lake Macquarie.
He is most famous for winning a gold medal at the London Olympics in the 49er class, along with Iain Jensen. At the Rio Olympics he won silver, again with Jensen in the 49er.

Capsizes kind of go hand in hand with 49er racing. I've had four to five capsizes in races and still won the event. It's just the nature of this type of sailing.
